How to reset password for an employee in SAP IAS

Solution:

Identity Authentication Service(IAS)

There are two categories of users: those using password authentication and those using Single Sign-On (SSO). Users who authenticate via SSO can only reset their passwords through Azure AD or ADFS. On the other hand, password-based users can reset their passwords through the IAS system. Below are the steps to reset passwords for non-SSO users. SSO users can also use password-based login if they encounter issues with SSO login by following the method below.

1) In the Users & Authorization section, choose the user for whom you wish to change the password.

2) Select the Authentication tab.

3) Click on the Authentication tab and choose Password Details.

Select the option to set the initial password.

4) Set the new password.
